Kim Coleman
Five Years’ Artist in Residence

26 August - 16 September 2019

Kim’s work foregrounds affective relationships between bodies and spaces, often questioning solo authorship. The resulting expanded moving image installations and photographs, rendered in light, consider Kim’s own dependencies and relationship dynamics and how these are experienced and acted out in the current cultural and technological landscape. Kim’s solo and collaborative works have been staged at Tate St.Ives, Tate Britain, Palais de Tokyo, The Showroom, Frieze Projects for Frieze Art Fair, Glasgow International and the ICA.

At Five Years Kim will work alone and with collaborators to review and develop still and moving-image works in progress.

Five Years will host an open studio event on
14 Sept where Kim will present work-in-progress.
